What to expect, honestly
Some websites block automated access. Expect emails from roughly 50 to 70% of results; limits like this affect every tool that reads the live web. The difference is that Email Scout shows you exactly which sites blocked the scan and lets you retry them, instead of silently counting them as credits spent.
Google also changes its results page without warning. The extension uses triple-fallback parsing, and when Google ships a change that breaks scans anyway, we ship a fix fast.

Questions people ask
Is this spammy? Is it even legal?
Email Scout finds contact emails that businesses chose to publish so customers and partners can reach them. It does not send email, does not buy or resell lists, and extraction runs 100% in your browser with nothing stored on our side. How you contact people is up to you, and outreach laws like CAN-SPAM in the US and CASL in Canada apply to what you send. Because Email Scout has no servers, your lists are never stored, pooled, or resold on our side; the architecture makes it impossible. Nothing here is legal advice.
Where do the emails come from?
From the public pages your Google search returned, plus their contact and about pages. Every email in your list is one a business published on its own website, and every row shows the exact source page.
Does my data go to your servers?
No. We run no servers. Your settings, results, and scan history live in your browser's local storage. The one optional exception: the Verify feature sends only the domain part of an address (never the full email, never anything about you) to Cloudflare's public DNS resolver to check for a mail server, and only when you click Verify. Details in the privacy policy.
Why do some sites show as blocked?
Some sites reject automated requests. Every tool in this category hits that wall; most hide it. Email Scout lists the blocked sites after each scan and gives you a retry button, so you always know your coverage.
What happens when Google changes its layout?
The parser has three fallback strategies, so most Google changes are absorbed automatically. When a change does break scanning, fixing it is our top priority, and being a small tool means the fix ships in days, not quarters.
